The readings would be done the night before each class, along with the worksheets that follow this page. I have tried to couple the tales for the most fruitful discussion and analytical possibilities, although you might see different parallels or points of comparison.

DAY 5 : LECTURE AND DISCUSSION ON MARGUERITE OF NAVARRE WITH A TEACHER OF FRENCH FROM THE WORLD LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT
DAY 6 : EXAMINATION OF DECAMERON, SEVENTH DAY, SECOND STORY AND THE MILLER'S TALE
DAY 7 : EXAMINATION OF HEPTAMERON, STORY 56 AND DECAMERON, FIFTH DAY, NINTH STORY
DAY 8 : LECTURE AND DISCUSSION ON BOCCACCIO WITH A TEACHER OF ITALIAN FROM THE WORLD LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT
DAY 9 : WRAP-UP DAY (using the discussion questions)
DAY 10 : CONFERENCES ON THE PAPER TOPIC
The final paper on the unit would be assigned on the wrap-up
day, and would be due one week from Day 10. See below for more
