Geography/ Economy and Agriculture:
1) What is the name of the capital of Utopia?
2) What kind of society was Utopia: technological, industrial or agrarian?
3) What is a phylarch? What does this indicate about the structure of Utopian government?
4) What is unusual about the Utopian method of hatching chickens?
5) Using two examples for support, show that the Utopians are a practical people.

Silver and Gold:
1) Why is gold inferior to iron in Utopia?
2) What does Hythloday mean when he tells More that "they [the Utopians] hold up gold and
silver to scorn in every conceivable way"? How is this accomplished? Why is this done?
Why would we find this ironic?
