The Worlds of the Renaissance: Projects - Sally Sperling
Renaissance Bingo
ACTIVITY 2 A and B
Glue to left-side page of notebook
The form below is divided into 25 spaces. Each space has an upper shaded half and a lower clear half. Before the game begins, take the 1st underlined item from each of
the 25 descriptions on Major Events of the Renaissance and scrambling their order, write them in the UPPER SHADED HALF of the spaces below. Remember-don't write them in the same order they appear on Major Events of the Renaissance!
Once the upper halves of all 25 spaces are filled, the game will begin. A description of
the Renaissance will be read aloud. You must then find this description on Major Events of the Renaissance. For example: if you hear, "The Italian cities of Venice and Genoa controlled Mediterranean trade", you would find this description and look at the 1st underlined item - Venice and Genoa. Next you would notice the 2nd underlined item - Mediterranean trade. Write "Mediterranean trade" on your Bingo form in the LOWER CLEAR HALF of the space containing "Venice and Genoa".
This space is now filled. The first player to fill 5 consecutive spaces vertically shouts "Renaissance Bingo!" and wins. The game may continue until there are five winners.
